- Step 1: Remove Top Housing Unscrew the top housing counterclockwise by hand to expose the battery and retaining clip.
- Step 2: Remove Battery Clip Carefully remove the retaining clip by prying up from either side by hand or with a flathead screwdriver.
- Step 3: Remove Battery While pushing down from the top, rock the battery forward to remove it from the BrewOps Sensor.
- Step 4: Insert New Battery Replace with an approved BrewOps battery. While it appears that it is a standard D-cell battery, it is not.
- Possible Causes: Dead battery, incorrect polarity, or poor connection.
- Solution: Replace the battery, ensure proper installation, and check for secure connections.
- Possible Causes: High useage of BrewOps sensor, extreme temperatures, or old battery.
- Solution: Do not leave activities running longer than necessary, store within recommended temperature range, and use only BrewOps-approved replacement batteries.
